Physical Oceanography

Oceanography is, by its very nature, multidisciplinary, and the wide range of seminar series at Scripps reflects this. The physical oceanography seminar serves as a weekly meeting place for faculty, students, and staff. Informal theoretical and observational seminars designed to give students practice presenting their research are offered as courses (SIO 219).
